SIR HENRY MORGAN'S STEAL

henry morgans background and life acheivment

On January 28, 1671, a man by the name of Sir Henry Morgan, with help of an entire crew of people, raided and conquered an entire city. what city? Panama city. A Rather quick and bloody battle occurred on the half built and impromptu fort San Geronimo (Cordingly 46). they had one specific plan; to conquer the city with whatever force necessary.
The crew encountered a decent amount of resistance but to no avail. Henry's crew was too much for the guards of the fort and were overtaken. after about a day and a half, with some assistance from henrys men, the rest of the forts surrendered and the town of panama city was theirs.
After the dust settled and negotiations were brought about, Henry and his men walked away with about 250,000 pesos worth of loot (Cordingly 47). That included silver plate, silver coins, gold coins and gold and silver bars all added up to be the previous estimated amount.
Henry, despite being a criminal for what he did, was treated as a hero at home and was welcomed with parties, booze, and women. He was never imprisoned but he had to spend 2 years in London solely waiting on his fate (Cordingly 54). Henry received no real punishment and was free to see whomever he pleased and eventually was able to be integrate back into London society.
henrys death was not so glamorous. he was not hanged, he was not but to a firing squad, nothing of those sorts. he was seeking medical help for a illness he had and even with the help from the doctor, he died soon after his treatment (Cordingly 55).

ABOUT ME

What's up! full name is Bryson Travis Hayes, I am 20 years old, and I am an absolute gym nut. I spend most of my days mostly lifting weights, doing cardio and sleeping. When I'm away from the gym I play guitar for hours on end and try my best to read but usually the second one doesn't work out. I am an only child, so I like to be by myself a lot, but I don't mind company whatsoever.
